Together we carry aims to improves families wellbeing by helping to facilitate carrying their child with different types of carriers and Slings. Exercise and Wellbeing workshops are also ran in conjunction with The Together Groups other services, you can find out about our postnatal project here We started to run our hire and advice service in 2016.

Our advice and hire sessions are held every monthly in billy bears, to see our up and coming events please check here and we also provide private consultations within the wellbeing centre and home visits. Our weekly sling exercise sessions are held within Together We CIC womans fitness and wellbeing centre.

We own over 50 carriers, we cater for newborn to toddlers, our hire period is from 4 weeks to 3 months.

Evidence suggests there are many wellbeing benefits to carrying, although more research is needed it is suggested that carrying your baby close can:
Improved bonding and attachment between parents and babies.
Release of oxytocin in mother.
Positive impact on breastfeeding.
A content baby resulting in a content mother.
Babies have the feeling of security and ability to self-regulate.

Returning to exercise after having your baby can be hard, Together We Carry have designed exercise sessions that are safe, involve both mother and baby and that are fun! Benefits of post natal exercise are:
Help restore muscle strength and firm up your body
Make you less tired because it raises your energy level and improves your sense of wellbeing
Promote weight loss
Improve your cardiovascular fitness and restore muscle strength
Condition your abdominal muscles
Improve your mood, relieve stress and help prevent postpartum depression.
